Services
At CarePlus, we offer three core services designed to support young people and adults with learning disabilities and complex needs — each built around the individual, not the other way around.
Residential Care
We provide short and long-term residential stays for young adults, adults with learning disabilities, and young people in transition. Our person-centred approach means every care plan is tailored to the individual — promoting education, independent living skills, and personal growth at their own pace. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space, make their own choices, and enjoy a rich programme of indoor and outdoor activities, from cooking classes and gardening to holidays, concerts, and family days.
OUR ACTIVITIES
We offer an excellent range of indoor and outdoor activities including:
- Cooking and baking lessons.
- Trips to see plays, concerts and musicals.
- Holidays abroad and within UK (such as Butlins).
- Gardening and floristry classes.
- Music & dancing sessions.
- Discos.
- family days at Easter, Christmas and other times of year
- Ping pong, football and more.
Respite Services
Offering flexible support for young people and adults aged 16 to 65, our respite care ranges from short tea visits to overnight stays — with 24/7 availability for crisis and emergency situations. We support individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, behaviours that challenge, and profound or multiple disabilities, all within a safe, structured environment focused on building skills, confidence, and greater independence.
Supported living
Our supported living service helps people with a wide range of needs retain their independence in their own home, with their own tenancy and responsibility for their own bills. Our trained carers are on hand daily to assist with everything from personal care and medication management to budgeting, community access, and social activities — ensuring every individual has the skills and confidence to live a truly fulfilling life.
HOW WE SUPPORT OUR RESIDENTS
Our enthusiastic carers and support workers are trained to help our residents build on their strengths to develop new skills. They will be on hand every day to help our residents in the following ways:
- Develop everyday life skills including cooking, cleaning and shopping.
- Attend to personal care including managing and administering medication.
- Manage budgeting, home upkeeping and following the Terms & Conditions of their tenancy agreements.
- Access the local community.
- Develop independent travel skills where appropriate.
- Make well-reasoned personal choices and decisions.
- Apply for and obtain appropriate benefits.
- Access leisure activities and lifelong learning.
- Engage with a fun, social programme of events, which includes a variety of activities from swimming and trampolining to lunches and dinners out.
Every aspect of our supported living care is tailored to the individual, focusing on developing and retaining the skills that each tenant needs to enjoy a fulfilling life in their own home.
The Difference Our Care Makes to the residents.
1. How to communicate more effectively.
2. How to express themselves in a more constructive manner.
3. How to be confident in their daily lives whether they’re at home or out in the community.
